Date: January 2018
Speaker: Sarah A Keim, PhD, MA, MS
Description: Increasingly, mothers are expressing their milk to feed their infants. This has enabled some women to continue producing milk longer after returning to work. However, mothers who are home with their infants are also pumping, and some women are exclusively pumping. Is feeding pumped milk just as good as feeding at the breast? What are the effects on infants? Dr. Keim will update participants on the latest research about pumping and what it means for women’s ability to meet their breastfeeding goals and for their babies health.
