Objectives

  • Learn local and statewide approaches to breastfeeding systems-change
  • Share with other QNM participants about their efforts to improve community-level breastfeeding outcomes
  • Connect with MIBFN team and other local breastfeeding supporters to form ongoing linkages to continued collaboration

Participants

Breastfeeding supporters and advocates who want to bring about actionable, system-level changes that are centered on the diverse experiences of Michigan families with young children. Children are welcome and milk expression spaces are provided at all Michigan Breastfeeding Network events.

Quarterly Network Meetings are always a collaborative effort and we are so excited to share that we are already confirmed to collaborate with:

Where is the meeting? Our June QNM is at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan!

When is the meeting? The meeting is from 9am-4pm on June 7, 2019. Registration begins at 8:30am.

How much does the meeting cost to attend? Is parking included? The meeting is free to attend and complimentary parking will be available at and around the venue.

Am I able to bring my children and will I be able to express my milk at the QNM? Children are welcome and milk expression spaces are provided at all Michigan Breastfeeding Network events.

Is lunch provided? Light breakfast items and lunch will be provided free of charge to registrants.

Does the meeting offer continuing education? We plan to apply for 2-4 CERPs for the meeting. If approved, CERPs will be distributed via email after the meeting to QNM attendees who complete the post-QNM evaluation in its entirety.

The evaluation will open on June 7th for attendees to share feedback. This evaluation will be open until Friday, June 14 at 5pm EST.

CERPs will be distributed to those who request them on the evaluation within 2-3 weeks following the QNM.
